Discard the queen of spades at trick two. Then play six rounds of diamonds, throwing one club and three spades. Then play the ace and king of hearts. If the jack drops, go to the 10 and return to your hand at trick 12 with the ace of spades. If the jack of hearts doesn't drop, cash the ace of spades at trick 11, then cash the queen of hearts, hoping the 4 scores at trick 13.

The odds on a 3-3
heart split are
considerably less
than the odds of a
spade finesse. But
the chance that
the jack of hearts
will fall singleton or doubleton increases
the odds of making
four heart tricks
on this suit combo
to more than 50%.
