Opening
lead: Q
This
hand was played back in 1957, in a
National Men's Pairs in
Pittsburgh. South
was Billy Seamon and North was Tobias
Stone.
To make an overtrick, declarer won
the first trick in dummy.
Then came a club
to the ace, club ruff, heart to the ace,
club
ruff, spade to the queen, club ruff. The trump
king
was cashed, and a heart ruffed in the
South hand with the
8 of diamonds. The
ace-queen of diamonds drew the remaining
trump, and the ace-king
of spades took the
last two tricks.
Have
a nice weekend!
