West will take the nice sacrifice in 5, doubled,
down 2.

The delayed splinter is 3NT (over a 1 opening)
or 3 (over a 1 opening). Opener can bid the
next step to ask for the singleton or he can sign
off in game with a minimum hand, concealing
further information from the opponents.
