Opening lead: K

When I was West I fell asleep at the switch,
following with the jack of hearts at trick two.
Declarer won the queen and led a trump back
to me. I was finished. I had to give declarer
something, and I tried a spade but partner won
the queen and declarer had only one more
loser, a diamond.

I should have gone up with the ace of hearts
and led back the jack. Then declarer would
have to guess the spade position to make his
game.

My tip today is this: Beware ducking the ace
doubleton of trump - you might find yourself
endplayed on the next round.
