When
Zia played in 4 in this year's Spingold Teams
final (see

Sept. issue of Bridge Today E-mag) the
defenders led three
rounds of
spades. He ruffed low,
cashed the ace of hearts, went to
dummy in
clubs and
led the 6 of hearts to the 8. Notice it would not
have
done
East any good to play his 10 of hearts on the
second round;
declarer
could win, finesse diamonds,
cash the ace of diamonds, ruff
a diamond
and discard
a diamond on the third high club.
